The 36-hour math competition was an extremely awesome experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed working on a single mathematical model for a day and a half (sleep notwithstanding!).

We needed to model the prices of gas stations and the distance that it would make sense to travel for cheaper gas.

We needed to model the input of a significant number of students into a school to determine where to hire new teachers.
